Real Ghost Stories @ Alabaster Library

Join author and paranormal investigator Kim Johnston for an evening of real life ghost stories from Shelby County and surrounding areas. Kim will be sharing stories, photos and audio evidence her research team has collected from several haunted locations. Program will be geared towards adults but anyone is welcome. Check out the teens and tweens event on October 14th for younger audience members.

Dress up in your best costume and enjoy a day of panel discussions and free food at Tuscaloosa Public Library. I will be sharing some ghostly evidence that the team has collected and selling my book Haunted Shelby County. Registration starts at 10. My panel starts at 11.

Haunted Shelby Bus Tour

This will be an opportunity to tour several of the sites I've written about in my book, Haunted Shelby County. This is a joint effort with the Birmingham Public Library. The whole Scare Team will be at Birmingham's Phoenix Festival May 30th thru June 1st! We will be hosting panel discussions and an after dark ghost hunt. Merchandise will be for sale at our table as well.

Aldrich Ghost Hunt for Kids

Children ages 8 and up will enjoy an afternoon of history, instruction and ghost hunting with the author of Haunted Shelby County Alabama, Kim Johnston, and paranormal investigator, Amanda Madden, from Parabama Investigations. Together they will teach children and parents the basics of paranormal investigating and lead them on a hunt for the ghosts of Aldrich Museum and Farrington Hall. The Aldrich Mine has claimed the lives of more than 50 men who are buried nearby. Farrington Hall is believed to be haunted by the teenage son of Mr. and Mrs. Aldrich who owned the mine many years ago. 

*All children must be accompanied by an adult. Limit 3 children per adult.*

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Aldrich Coal Mine museum.
