Join the SCARe paranormal team on an after hours investigation of the haunted Homewood Library. The team will be bringing their specialized equipment and conducting a real paranormal investigation with their guests! Special guests will be in attendance each night including psychic mediums, haunted dolls and local authors. Previous investigations have yielded lots of evidence, chills and thrills!

Long before the library existed, this land was the site of the Williams’ family farm. We don’t know much about the Williams family other than they experienced an incredible amount of loss over their years of living at the farm including 7 young children and Mr. Williams’ first wife. After the farm was demolished, a church was built in its place which was later converted into the building that stands today. Library employees have long talked about the numerous strange events that have happened here over the decades from construction workers being scared away from the premises during remodeling to voices and laughter being heard at night when no one else is around. It is not uncommon to have books fly off the shelves here even during the day. Homewood Library's haunting has been written about several times on AL.com and is included in Alan Brown's Stories of the Haunted South. A large portion of the proceeds will be donated to the library so this is fun for a good cause! Ages 12 and up please. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is 100% wheelchair accessible.

Refund policy: Refunds only available if event is cancelled or if we can find someone to purchase your tickets. Otherwise, all sales are final because proceeds are donated to the Friends of Homewood Library fund.
